Khanak Budhiraja’s upcoming film Ek Kori Prem Katha, co-starring veteran actor Raj Babbar and Akshay Oberoi is one of the most anticipated projects of 2023. Khanak Budhiraja hails from Ambala, Haryana; the actress is an architect by profession and has acted and directed Ek Kori Prem Katha.
The actress grandly unveiled the poster of ‘Ek Kori Prem Katha’ in a very unique style on a very special occasion of International Women's Day in Mumbai.
What is Kori? Kori is a rural practice in which the newlywed couple lays a white cloth on the bed before engaging in sexual intercourse, and if the sheet gets a red stain on it due to the breaking of the hymen, it means the bride is pure and was a "Kori".
The actress's journey to land her first role was not a three-day cherry blossom. She had to fight many battles and face numerous rejections. Khanak, on the other hand, was unwavering in her commitment to her goals, which helped her get through the difficult days, and she had no industry godfather. Khanak Budhiraja turned to an actor to help her grandfather realise his dream. Her long-held ambition came to realisation when she was signed by Sughand Films, a leading production house in the 1990s that produced films such as Bombay, Rangeela, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Lagaan, and many others, for her debut film Ek Kori Prem Katha.
